1/12: Casting VOID – Director Guillermo del Toro!

Welcome to part 1 of 12 in an ongoing countdown to casting the roles of VOID:  THE MOTION PICTURE! As Executive Producer, it’s my job to go out and find the right director who can bring all the nuances of Deacon Void alive on the big screen.  That man is Guillermo del Toro!  This legendary movie visionary has worked on some of Hollywood’s greatest films, but he has no peer in depicting spooky, “otherworldly” realms and the beasts who haunt them, as witnessed by his masterful work on Hellboy, Mimic, Hellboy II:  The Golden Army, Blade II and Pan’s Labrynith (to name a few).

del Toro did a masterful job directing his numerous "supernatural" films, including Blade II (Wesley Snipes battling Luke Goss here).

Speaking of Luke Goss, del Toro has worked with this high octane action star in Blade II and Hellboy II.  While I don’t see a role for Goss in Void, I do see him as the lead in my next novel, Dove of WarDove has a definitive link to Void.  More on that as we get deeper into the story.

Luke Goss has the perfect look and "feel" for Basil Hato: Dove of War, my next action hero from my upcoming novel. Dove of War will have a special link to VOID. More to follow!

So what do you think of my choice of del Toro as my director?  Agree?  Disagree?  Share your thoughts with me.  Be here next week as I share with you my special effects guru.  Until then, what studio should package and distribute Void?  As if you didn’t know already!  No one but the king of the monster films should handle this!  If it was good enough for Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff, it’s good enough for me!

Guess my comments and likes didn’t make it from one device to another, sorry. I love this…am not just saying that either. This is really, really good. You’ve shown a very creative, suspenseful story line. Don’t stop! The artistry, awesome!

Thanks, Eva! I am ALWAYS happy to read your input. And don’t worry! I have the entire series (12-issues) plotted out and I’m committed to seeing it through to the end! Issue #4 (current) and #4 are 100% complete, issue #5 90% complete, issue #7 about 70% complete, issue #10 90% complete, and issue #12 50% complete. I bounce around depending on what artist is available to work. I am confident when I say that the BEST IS YET TO COME!!!! I promise you!! :)
