Welcome to part 1 of 12 in an ongoing countdown to casting the roles of VOID:  THE MOTION PICTURE! As Executive Producer, it’s my job to go out and find the right director who can bring all the nuances of Deacon Void alive on the big screen.  That man is Guillermo del Toro!  This legendary movie visionary has worked on some of Hollywood’s greatest films, but he has no peer in depicting spooky, “otherworldly” realms and the beasts who haunt them, as witnessed by his masterful work on Hellboy, Mimic, Hellboy II:  The Golden Army, Blade II and Pan’s Labrynith (to name a few).

del Toro did a masterful job directing his numerous "supernatural" films, including Blade II (Wesley Snipes battling Luke Goss here).

Speaking of Luke Goss, del Toro has worked with this high octane action star in Blade II and Hellboy II.  While I don’t see a role for Goss in Void, I do see him as the lead in my next novel, Dove of War.  Dove has a definitive link to Void.  More on that as we get deeper into the story.
