Sketch Card by Darren Auck!
When I talk about my buddies in the world of comics, I usually always start with Darren Auck. I first met Darren in 1999 in the offices of MARVEL COMICS when he was the Director of the Art Department. We became instant friends and have remained so ever since.
Over the years, Darren has worked on many mainstream comics and produced hundreds of sketch cards for projects from X-Men to Conan to Star Trek (and now, VOID). He’s currently working as an art instructor at the prestigious Joe Kuburt School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. His most recent project was the storyboards and character designs for an upcoming movie project, Liberator, starring Lou Ferrigno!
It was Darren who helped me finalize the “look” for Night Terror for my 2009 novel, I Know Why the Dogwoods Blush, and he produced this cover for an original comic project I was pitching circa 2003/2004, A.T.T.A.C. Some of these characters will appear in later issues of VOID!

This Darren Auck cover features a montage of some of my original characters. Some of them will appear in later pages of VOID!
Thanks a million, Darren! And to readers of VOID, I hope you enjoy it!
Coming January 24, 2012: The Seance! The Return of Louhi Waterhouse!

Very nice work. Very tallented artist. Scary to see those faces / skulls upside down.
Thanks, Tisa. Sketch cards really limit work space but when Darren has a full page, he’s hard to beat!
Really good work on sketch with void! Scary, scary images!
Thanks! Void … the place AND the man … can be quite scary indeed!
