The “Pain” of Sir Richard Holmes

Now that we’ve wrapped issue #3 of VOID, you’ve met all of our ongoing cast.  In the issues ahead, you’ll get to delve much deeper into their personalities and start to understand how they fit into the Void “universe.”

Today, you have a unique opportunity to look into the mind of London Metropolitan Chief, Sir Richard Holmes.  With the exception of the prologue when he confronted the Ashcroft brothers and established himself as a supporter of Void and his brief appearance in issue #2 when Void acknowledged a problem Holmes was “hiding,” you’ve not seen much on this very important character.  In the pages and issues ahead, this will change dramatically!

Check out this note I discovered in Holmes’ wastebasket on a routine security sweep of the London Met Office.  It will likely raise more questions than answers, but keep reading!  This letter was typed immediately prior to Holmes’ return to Void’s office that opens issue #4.

I think it pinpoints that both Holmes and Void each have some significant physical problems.  As to exactly what they are?  Keep reading!

"The pain is almost more than I can bear!"

Coming May 22, 2012: An amazing, digital, full-color cover to Void #4! And then we travel north to discover … THE HEART OF THE BEAST!

Ouch! I feel for him. Hope it isn’t TOO serious. Everyday pain is not easy to live with. Hope it is fixable. :-(

Sadly, it’s as serious as it gets. There’s only one way to fix it, and there’s no coming back from it. :(
